Marketing Coordinator



 

Scope

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the promotional plan  of 2 large Events in the fields of PV Solar Energy and the wide field of Biomass, as well for smaller conferences. Target group are potential exhibitors, national and international participants, VIPs and sponsors.

Place of Work: Munich, Germany

Duties

1. Events Strategy

  • Developing and implementing 3-year action plans and key performance indicators

2. Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Remain up-to-date with the innovative marketing channels and tools available on the market, and innovative solutions to promote the events; development and execution of promotional campaigns

3. Operational events marketing and budget

  • Define relevant marketing material, plans and campaigns and develop the appropriate tools in order to promote the events, prepare advertising schedules
  • Identify the target audience, ensure right and consistent messages when organising the creative artworks linked to events.
  • Select and coordinate participation to external exhibitions and conferences in order to promote the events and provide a business development platform
  • Manage the execution of contractual agreements with strategic partners for an optimised coverage and promotion of the congresses.
  • Manage and supervise the content, the layout and the traffic statistics of the events’ websites
  • Provide regular ROI analysis of all the marketing actions undertaken
  • Support in defining budget for marketing activities. Manage the marketing budget
  • Provide budget management with accurate forecast (both revenues and costs)


Required key qualifications

  • Degree discipline in marketing/communications/media studies
  • Experience:  Over 3 years’ experience in the communication and/or marketing sector, preferably from an event based organisation
  • Perfect English speaker with excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience of social media marketing on all major social media platforms
  • Experience on managing website content (copywriting and webediting).
  • Solid understanding of general advertising and direct marketing performance metrics.
  • Ability to take quick and accurate decisions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Stress resistant, enthusiastic personality and positive mindset
  • Strong interest for Renewable Energy business

We continuously offer internship opportunities for a minimum of 6 months to begin any time during the year focusing on several assignments:

The candidates may participate to organise the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition.
Examples of possible  tasks:

  • Promotional plan of the ETA Florence events (conferences and smaller events) to potential exhibitors, sponsors and participants (conference delegates and exhibition visitors).
  • Creating and maintaining contacts all over the world
  • Assist in development of communication strategies, for spreading the information, progress and results of research and development (R&D) projects.
  • Assist in planning, producing  and editing the marketing tools and materials (leaflets, website, e-shots, adverts, newsletters, social media...), etc.

 

Requested skills:

  • Marketing, Communication or Media studies
  • Excellent computer skills: word, Excel
  • Fluent English. Other  languages will be an asset.
  • Organised, attentive to details, proactive and dynamic
  • Flexibility and ability to carry out a variety of tasks
  • Happy to be integrated in an international team

 

We offer the internship opportunity preferably combined with the Erasmus ( or Leonardo) programme.
